Having done her training through Michelle Mazur Yoga, a school focused on Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda, and utilizing herself as a guinea pig, Laurie has learned to heal herself mentally and physically. By using Ayurveda to heal her digestive issues and yoga to discipline the mind, she is now helping others to do the same. Laurie believes that Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda and other alternative healing modalities will replace conventional treatments that are just not efficient.
Everyone is searching for the magic pill or workout that will make them feel good and be healthy. The answer is that you must pick healthy every day. It is the choices that we make with our emotions, with our eating habits and our physical levels that contribute to the whole. We must learn to listen to our bodies and then nourish the body and mind from the inside out. Prior to her found path in yoga therapy and Ayurveda, Laurie has a wide variety of interests including photography, modeling, improv, food culture, and travel. She has lived in southern France for a year, and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and South America.
